My research primarily focuses on mental health -- patient-provider relationships, acute care psychiatric environments, Latinas with depressive symptoms, and male long-haul truck drivers.
I currently teach graduate courses in nursing theory and nursing research.
I am an Associate Editor of Issues in Mental Health Nursing and author of more than 50 journal articles and book chapters.
